Breanna Podlasly is an 25 year old award winning artist that specializes in wildlife paintings done in chalk pastel. Growing up in the remote community of Malcolm Island or "Sointula", Breanna became immersed in the arts of sketching after watching her mother sketch horses as a child. From there she started using pencils and for 15 years she practised her graphite skills eventually leading her to want to use color and finding her way to pastels! In 2017, Breanna made the journey to England and studied under renowned pastel artist Eric Wilson, where she learned how to use pastels in a realistic and beautiful manner. Since returning home from her studies she has won multiple awards for Best In Show and People's Choice at multiple exhibits. Now a mother and residing in Campbell River, she is well known for her pet portraits and commission work of local and exotic wildlife.
