Blissful Thinking designs by Kim Webster

Accessories – Austin

I graduated from UT Art School with a concentration in ceramics and painting. After graduation I found myself teaching art, traveling the globe, and living in a pottery studio where I made ceramic sculptures, ceramic jewelry, pottery, and painted and sketched in my spare time. After quite a few years of being all over the the place artistically, I decided it was time to focus my energies on one particular medium. The choice to focus on jewelry was simple. The art of making jewelry is the culmination of all the artistic mediums I love in one. I get the joy of sketching designs, sculpting and obsessing over tiny silver or clay pendants, I even incorporate painting into my pieces from time to time. Designing jewelry is a match made in heaven for my love of creative exploration; with endless opportunities, I am always experimenting with different materials, tools, and techniques. I feel like I could design jewelry the rest of my life and not tap into all the creative possibilities of wearable art.
