Photography – Orange County

I grew up hearing stories of my great grandparents living in Twain as medical missionaries. It made me want to travel the world and experience different cultures and help others where ever I went. I was fascinated with the time period they lived in and the photos they captured of their life and adventures. In high school I became obsessed with documenting life with family and friends so I could have memories to look through and share with the next generation. I was yearbook editor my Junior and Senior year with the hopes of going into graphic design when I had a teacher who said I had an eye for photography and would let me use his nicer camera to practice with and gave me advice for my work. After graduation I happened to apply to a jc college that had a great photography department and fell in love with photographing and printing film images and loved how it documented life with a timeless feel. I had my own solo show on Immigration that was on display in the student gallery in the photography department and was selected for the a student show for one of my images. My last year of college I was in a collaboration gallery with a few classmates called Nomadic Image at the Santora Arts Building in Santa Ana Art Walk. Since then I have been working with a mentor working in school portraits and my business is centered around portraiture but my day to day and travel photography are more documenting my surroundings.
