Photography – Austin
At the root of my work is the desire to connect with people. I find beauty in each of my subjects because of their humanity, because I find their range of expression and emotion beautiful. When it comes to photographing, I think of it as a collaborative effort, using minimal direction to photograph my subjects. I either see or anticipate a moment that I want to capture and I document what manifests itself in front of me. Photographing live music is undoubtedly my passion. Honest emotion, candid moments, and capturing a fleeting moment, whether it is an action, expression or gaze, is why I am especially drawn to photographing live music. To me, it's a perfect storm for what I love capturing in an image. After all the performance itself is temporary, but the moments captured are permanent.
