Performing Art – Seattle
Oregon native Audra Miyuki has always had a passion for music & an appreciation for Hip Hop culture. Dance found her in 2008 at Lane Community College and in 2010 she joined a performance company, Dance Northwest, under the direction of Anita Sanford. Hip Hop, Classical Jazz, Contemporary and Burlesque are a few of the styles she coveted and she quickly became a lead choreographer for the company. She has since furthered her training in many styles of movement giving her a versatile background, and was sought out to teach at various dance studios around Oregon, including the competition team for Flex Studios. Now in Tacoma, Audra is taking steps to get to know its vast artist community. As a choreographer, she has found freestyle to be a prominent tool in her work and as a teacher, she focuses on self expression, emotion & musicality.
