Visual Art – Toronto

Annie Deneyici is a Euro-Canadian artist. In her early 20s, she decided to invest herself fully into fine arts. She began learning technical drawing at Mimar Sinan University, one of the highly regarded Fine Art and Architecture universities in the world. She mastered her drawing skills and decided to join her family’s business in the Jewelry sector. While managing one of her family’s stores, she enrolled in a series of jewelry design courses. She also continued refining her artistic skills by assuming the position of catalog designer for her family’s stores. Following the completion of her jewelry design courses, Annie continued refining her artistic skill set by enrolling in a program in Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts. The program contained classes such as mixed media art, oil painting, mud sculpting, and European art history. She was chosen to be the TA for her professor during her time spent in the academy and excelled to be one of the greatest students in her class. She was also chosen to represent the academy in various art shows around the country where she painted live portraits and was recorded to be featured in popular TV stations such as Kanal D, ATV, and Show TV. In 2003, She moved to Barcelona with her family where she continued her painting career. She began focusing on portraits and quickly became a popular artist for custom portrait creations. Rekindling her love towards art for kids’ rooms, she created a collection of oil paintings containing over 300 pieces. She created and painted over 500 custom pieces for individuals. She also accepted a project where she painted 45 custom portraits of Ottoman Sultans for a Top-50 European Boutique Hotel in Istanbul – Hotel Sultania. She was invited to be featured in various exhibitions in Europe for her custom paintings and portraits, where she received awards for her unique creativity. Fast forward to 2014, she moved to Toronto and continued her artistic journey in Canada. She is currently working with TV & Film studios supplying made-to-order set décor for shows such as Black Mirror and fulfilling unique commission requests.
