Anica Bazan

Anica Bazan is a contemporary modern artist living in Austin, Texas. She received her Studio Arts degree at Del Mar Community College in Corpus Christi, and her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Design from Texas State University. Since childhood, she always been depicted the abstract female form using an abundance of curves and repetitious lines, in an attempt to celebrate the independent female, as well as reveal particular hardships she or other female role models in her life have endured. Accolades vary from participation in the Coronado Studio Series, Arthouse 5 x 7, Young Latino Artists: Mexic-Arte Museum 1998 and Cover of “People” Magazine of the Corpus Christi Caller Times for “Artist’s Work Reminds Experts of Matisse and Picasso”, 1994.
