Film – San Antonio

Alex Ramirez is a Mexican-American filmmaker based in San Antonio, Texas. He is a recent graduate of the University of Texas – Pan American with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/TV/Film. A life long lover of film and cinema, he has been working professionally throughout Texas since 2010. Recently, he completed principal photography on his first feature film, “La Gran Distancia”, an epic fantasy drama produced by UTPA and his native production company, WildFox Films. Along with this, his short film adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast” was entered into the Sundance Film Festival. He has also won several awards in South Texas, including the 2014 WILD Film Festival Best Director Award for his short film, “Adeline”, and the 2014 DCFI Film Festival Audience Award for his TV adaptation of the 1980’s film “Risky Business”.
