Visual Art – Nashville
I am Alexis Doss and I am an artist based out of Knoxville, TN. I work with acrylic and oil paints on a myriad of scales. My current work is based on abstraction and the female form. I am showing the vulnerability that each person has about their own body; some people love their body and are very confident, while others are embarrassed or ashamed of theirs. Working through these ideas, I have created a collection of paintings that showcase different bodies and the emotions that can be imposed upon them. This way, I can connect with people and help the viewer understand the many complex emotions that surround our bodies.
