Photography – Boston
I'm a 21 year old student at Emmanuel College majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Photography. For a whole semester, I studied the human form. I created these expressive images with a singular speed light and natural light. I am fascinated by the way in which the light hits the body, and how it creates such beautiful shadows. Essentially, I wanted to explore the serenity, stillness, and abstraction in discovering convergences of line and light. For the environmental portraits, I removed all existence of human activity from the environments that they are placed in, so not only were my models, in a sense, "raw", the environments in which they lived in were as well. This allows the viewer to appreciate the human form in its' simplistic, and even complex ways.
