Visual Art – Orange County

I consider myself to be a minimalistic artist. I enjoy very basic color contrasts as well as complex shape structures. I enjoy collage work on the side to fill in my creative blocks. I enjoy painting as well which I try to keep very raw and loosely organized. I\'ve always been a drawer. About the age of 6 my mother gave me a \"Color by Number\" pad which I was obsessed with. I would spend every chance I had filling in the tiny sections of black, and emptying white with a tiny numerical value sign in the center. Growing up wasn\'t very simple though. My creative side was stifled at the age of 10 when my parents had split. Feeling the awkward tension in my family and living situation I quickly lost interest in my art. 8 years later I would attend a summer program at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. During this summer semester I would be influenced from so many fellow youth artists. I would never forget the influences and the different directions all these children, essentially, would later take. I\'ve never been very great at praising, little alone talking about myself. I feel I best describe myself best through my work. Even though my ideas jump from place to place, and I constantly work on multiple pieces at once, I believe it matters in the sense of making something tangible. Something I believe worth having or even proud to say I had created it.
