My name is Brittany Covington, I've been an artist my entire life. I recently graduated from VCU School of the Arts with a BFA in Fashion Design. I am the creator of Wild WIld Woman. I am an illustrator, and designer. I make jewelry, clothing, and accessories. My mediums stretch from graphite to Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, fabrics such as organic cotton, silk or leather, all the way to sheet metal and stones. I use organic fabrics as much as possible as well as recycled fabrics and metals for my work. Within each collection of clothing I feature a number of my mixed media prints; including my hand drawn illustrations, photographs, and paintings. Each print is inspired by an endangered species or peoples in need. A percentage of the sales from these items will go directly back to a corresponding charity.
I am inspired by mother earth and all of her children, growing up on a farm I grew a strong appreciation for everything the earth gives us. I feel a need to give back to her. I want to call attention to animals in need, species that many people have never even heard of. Currently flying foxes and bats are my main inspiration as many of them are on the verge of extinction.
I love that RAW finds all of this underground talent and sheds light on it, it gives people like me the opportunity to show my work on a much larger scale
love from my family, friends and god, ambition is important but without them I'd be no where.
