Paper with history. Designed with purpose this bespoke jewellery and artwork is beautifully handcrafted using an old art form known as quilling and paper beading. Several coasts of varnish protect and harden the paper, making the jewellery durable, water resistant and totally wearable. A single piece can take hours to make. Unique and unbelievably lightweight they certainly deserve attention.
It all starts from paper strips which are rolled and glued together and pinched into unusual shapes. I like to use paper from old books, magazines and specially collected papers.
I first started quilling as a teenager but got back into it big time in 2015 during a period of long service leave. My aim has been to bring an old traditional craft into the modern day with up to date, contemporary and eye catching pieces.
