Vintage Playground

Music – Kitchener-Waterloo

Vintage Playground’s funky rock has so much soul that you may lose control! Their parents are big fans of their music and say they would totally come out to the shows if only their schedules lined up but you know how it is, right? Also, this one guy at a show said the music is pretty decent and he seemed pretty put together so I guess that says something. Nick Iden (guitar), is Vintage Playground’s spiritual leader and Captain of Science. His credentials include some sort of online course where he learned about moon rocks or something and he has also watched a bunch of YouTube videos about space things. David Junca (bass), is a tall drink of water hailing all the way from Colombia. He is passionate about flavoured water and people named after fancy cars and has a rare condition which allows him to count in only triplicates. Christian Reichard (drums), smells as good as he looks and likes dogs with good morals. Christian knows more about fireplaces than anyone really should and he is able to explain complex ideas using only his facial hair. At an early age, Simon Lewis (vocals), started dancing in his basement to Rap Trax! and MC Hammer videos on VHS. Simon’s goal in life is to be able to complete David Blaine’s floating trick, without just kind of leaning on one foot and pretending to hover. As a backup plan, Simon, will create world peace. Vintage Playground has one album, The Sound Circuit EP, which was called “The Best Album of 2016”*. There are absolutely no flutes in any Vintage Playground song to date which is a promise they hope to keep to their fans. Vintage Playground met on Tinder and have been in love ever since. *This might have been said by a band member.
