Terence Thompson’s work is best known for his mobiles depicting scenes of lynched slaves made from very distinctive materials such as twine, yarn, sticks, paper towels, news paper, cardboard, fabric, frames, and wood. He creates his work by tying, twisting, wrapping, cutting, taping and lacing. He deals with the haunting reality of slavery and it’s effects in today’s society , along with the choice of living in disbelief of slavery - and the darkness of mankind. He has so far shown work in the Philadelphia area. He received his BFA in Multidisciplinary Fine Arts from the University of the Arts in 2015.
