Photography – Denver

I started my artistic career as a performer (music entertainment) and then moved in to music production. I briefly worked for Arista Records in NY and had the pleasure of working with both national and international artists. Although I could never stray far from music production, I was always interested in photography, so exposure to the incredible multimedia art world in New York fed my soul and inspired me to begin shooting and filming as a hobbyist. My love for the art grew and since I’m a freak, intense self-reflection and studying of the craft came next; GOD bless my wife… My father was a surgeon and my love for anatomy almost took me into the medical field…but to my family’s dismay, medicine just wasn’t my passion. However, I did take my love for anatomy and began practicing artistic nudes on friends until my portfolio grew enough to land photography “gigs”. Although I love and shoot in several different genres and appreciate any thoughtful images, my passion lies in artistic nudes. There is nothing more beautiful… Why some photographers prefer to shoot the nude body: Because the skin reflects light in ways that clothes don’t, because the human body is an incredible thing with curves and sinews and details that few man-made objects can dream of, because it is simple and complex at once, because it can be powerful, vulnerable, sexy and disarming simultaneously, because all you need is a camera, light and a body and you can create the most beautiful images in the world. Not my quote and I’m not sure where it came from, but it has traveled with me and fits my sentiments exactly. I’m currently developing a large (5ft X 8ft) high-end multimedia art exhibit, almost a year in the making, entitled “Damn You Look Good”. This prototype incorporates a large format archive level canvas print, embedded video, and high-end audio (and a lot of other features that provide business functionality). The piece should be in a gallery the first three weeks in January. Please visit me and follow my progress; www.mcmillionentertainment.com I hope you enjoy…
