Inspired and named after Grace Jones character from Boomerang, Strangé strives to create pop art that is bold, black, and unique. Drawing from their life experience being queer and black Strange depicts popular images in black culture twisting them to explore sexuality, blurring the lines between gender and sex. A self-taught artist, Strangé hopes to invoke a genuine response from their audience whatever that may be. They feel that as long as their art speaks something, their goal has been accomplished.
