Visual Art – Omaha

When I was about six years old I created a cartoon character named, \"Star Connader\". He was a triangle shaped martian with regular arms and legs and a big fish bowl like helmet that went over his eyes and nose. Star Connader survived off shoes as a diet - and he liked fresh shoes. He was a martian and martians don\'t have money so he was forced to sneak into shoe stores and scarf down shoes when nobody was looking. The story lines that I made up for Star Connader were simply about his observations and encounters with animals and people on earth. I\'ve always enjoyed character development however I\'ve never considered whether it amuses anyone else but myself. If it turns out that I am good at it I sure wouldn\'t mind making someone else smile. Besides character development I like to make abstract collage paintings just for a change of pace. I use finger nail polish as my main painting medium. For the collages, I like to use vintage jewelry including old rhinestone pieces and watch faces as well as odds and ends like hardware pieces or wire.
