Visual Art – Orlando

I express emotions and life experiences through the rigid and unforgiving medium of stone. Emotions are what compel me to create. I can find inspiration everywhere... from beauty, sensuality and tenderness to ugliness, absurdity and obscenity. I love stone because it is ancient and seemingly unmovable. It has taken thousands to millions of years to reach it's current form; it fills me with a deep responsibility to give it the care needed to find it's next form. I love to work marble by hand with unpowered tools because it is slow and agonizing. It connects me to the stone and the specific piece in a way that feels magical. It gives me time to reflect on my choices and motivation behind the piece. Oftentimes, finding new angles I wouldn't have imagined when I started. I am a baby artist. I don't want to "change the world of art" or think i can revolutionize the world of sculpture. I only want to make people feel something when they look at my work.
