Visual Art – Melbourne
Steven Godden is an emerging artist based in Melbourne, Australia. Steven uses charcoal on paper to create monochromatic works inspired by surrealism, psychology, mythology and anatomy. This subject matter is based on the real and tangible, then manipulated, warped and altered into imagery similar to hallucinations and dreams. Steven is largely self taught having had a years worth of formal training at a private art school. Over the one and half years of his career, Steven has had a number of exhibitions and many works held in private collections. In the furture, Steven plans to study oil painting and will be taking a residency in Berlin as part of the Takt art programme.
