Rui Wan(signs her name Rays.W) was a painter and vision artist living in Hainan island before she came to London, she is the founder of Dongfangzhiyin Art and Cultural Communication Center and traveled around over 45 countries for the love of art.She graduated from MA fine art course at Chelsea College of Art and Design. She can express her art ideas from multiple perspectives via the use of different media in terms of painting, sculpture, and animation in both a creative and professional way. Her art is capable of being evaluated from many points of view in terms of decoding the subject matter and style. The selected media will influence the message. Her paintings were collected by a provincial museum and a publishing company, and also by some private art collectors around the world. She and her artwork was invited and selected as an independed visual artist to take part in the 50 year 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and China in Paris in 2014. Her series sculpture was highly commended by the Jury of Royal Society of Sculpture in the RBS international competition in 2013 by her sculpture works intepreted with chinese primitive ancient art and calligraphy images. She is developing a special insight into both contemporary and traditional cultures, and blending these with her own life experiences. All the art exhibitions she has seen continually make her critically reflect and ask what is contemporary art, and why and how can she contribute to this area
