Roberto Hernandez

Visual Art – Atlanta

Roberto Hernandez’s carrier as an artist began during his childhood in Acapulco Mexico where, by suggestion of his elementary school teachers, was granted a scholarship to enter La Casa de la Cultura (The House of Culture) which is prestigious institute for all arts in the region. While in the institution, he was instructed by traditional Mexican artists, which exposed him to different mediums and different techniques and ongoing art movements around the world. At age 12 he migrated to the United States due to the tragic kidnapping of his mother. The ransom for the rescue put his family on the streets to a new beginning from zero and his mother decided to bring the family to the US. After a tumultuous cultural transition, Roberto continued to cultivate his passion for the arts through high school where he won awards and eventually was granted a scholarship for outstanding Latino students from the General Consulate of Mexico. He graduated from Georgia State University with a BFA in Drawing and Painting. Today, he is the owner of Roberto’s Artwork LLC, a company that provides fine entertainment to corporate events and continues to expand. His works have been exhibited in all Museums in the city of Atlanta and his is currently directing all the mural work being done in Plaza Fiesta. His favors all mediums and is truly passionate about creating art every day.
