Rio Vida - Brazilian Samba Dancers

Performing Art – Perth

Rio Vida is a Brazilian Samba dance performance group established in 2017 by Director, Monique Vaughan. Prior to launching Rio Vida, Monique was Co-Director of Fanfarra Entertainment, choreographing the group's performance in the 2017 Global Beats and East festival earlier this year, headlined by San Cisco. Monique has been training and performing samba intensively for over two years, principally from Yamina Hofer-Boase (dance director at Beleza Samba School) after beginning her training with Natalie Asha (founder and director of Fanfarra Entertainment). Monique has been invited as a guest teacher to share the samba love with the senior dancers at the Valerie Heston School of Dance and Melissa Jade Academy of Dance. Michelle Ba'hia is one of Rio Vida's lead dancers. Monique and Michelle have been performing together as a dynamic duo for several years.
