Reza Andi Rizal Harahap

My name is Reza Andi Rizal Harahap and I am a 38 years old artist living in Los Angeles. After setting aside my artwork while seeking asylum in the United States, I reconnected to the passion of my youth, painting. In my view, art represents the state of the human soul. Therefore, while I couldn’t visit my home island Sumatra and Bali, I was inspired to use black and white colors predominantly. However, after becoming a proud U.S. citizen, and visiting my family back home, I found joy in painting with colors again.
