I’m Anne Benson, the creator of re:deux - one-of-a-kind clothing made from 100% recycled materials. Not only is my clothing eco-friendly,but I’ve turned my shopping problem into an outlet to express my creativity. There’s no greater joy than finding a treasure...especially if it’s a great deal! I don’t care if my find comes from a thrift store or Rodeo Drive, when I take my gem to the register...I get a rush of excitement. I feel empowered. Invigorated. Proud? Damn right. It was me up against a vast universe of “ordinary”...and I won. My friends and husband have stood by rather quietly over the years as I shopped. I say rather because occasionally one would say “What are you going to do with that Anne?” or “Do you really need that Anne?” or “How much longer Anne?” re:deux allows me to constantly feed my creativity, protect our environment AND support my shopping addiction. Though re:deux clothing, my goal is to help women (no matter what their shape, size or age) take risks and be bold enough to confidently reveal their beauty. My art is sculpture. My medium is fabric. Some people call it “wearable art”. I call it the most rewarding artistic endeavor I’ve ever done.
