Photography – Chicago

I am primarily an awarding winning photojournalist having won 3 SPJ awards for my work. However, shooting violence, destruction, and political events does tend to wear on one’s creativity. As such I find solace in artistic still photography as an outlet. I love to shoot any number of subjects but my primary passions are landscapes and nude portraits. The raw beauty of nature and people at their most vulnerable is something I’ve always been drawn to. We take for granted the hidden beauty in everything from the sun setting to the very things that make us who we are. Life is impossible and shouldn’t exist and as such everything is a literal miracle. That includes the hidden beauty that exists in darkness or the places we normally avoid looking as well as the people we normally avoid looking at. Women of all shapes and sizes are a fascinating subject because nothing is more amazing than them. They’re loving, sweet, caring, and beautiful inside and out. I take it upon myself to share my vision of what I see when I look at them.
