Starting in 2006, Picture Atlantic has been a force in the San Jose, and bay area music scene since their inception. Comprised of Ryan Blair, Nik Bartunek, Daniel Hernandez and Brian Graves, Picture Atlantic plays their own brand of melodic rock, pop, and alternative, with inflections from all kinds of styles and directions. Although there is a certainly a cohesive sound amongst their repertoire, Picture Atlantic delivers a wide berth of Folk, Electronic, Stadium Rock, Ambient Rock, Brit Pop, and Ballad.
When asked about why they play music, Singer/Guitarist Nik Bartunek had this to say: \"We don\'t do this band to appease other people. We don\'t do this band to fit into some trend. We don\'t do this band to jump on a bandwagon. We care about our music with complete heart and soul, and if that isn\'t enough for people, then God help us.\"
Voted by AP.Net to be in their \"Top 100 Best Unsigned Bands\" list, voted \'Best Band of the Silicon Valley 2011\' by Metro Magazine, and gaining features on SF\'s very own Live 105, Picture Atlantic certainly stands out amongst the many local acts.
