Every day I ride my bike down to the beach, if tide is out i'll walk along the beach in search of shells driftwood or anything that could be used in making my stuff. I find it amazing how the beach changes with every wave pushing things in then pulling them back out seeing all the shells is wonderful as they come and go with the tides, plus its good exercise as I bent over to pickup each and every the shell I use, none are bought from shell stores. I spend a lot of time organizing by type of shell, size, shape, color then a 4 step process of cleaning to get shells to look wet as they appear in the water makes all the difference how finished product appears.
