Visual Art – Orange County

My name is Elmer Ayala. I was born and raised in Santa Ana, CA. I am a second generation Salvadoreno/American son of two migrant hard working folks from El Salvador. I mainly work in visual art such as logos, creative promotional work, photography and image editing. Everything I have learned and skills i acquired over time have been self taught. I have roots in the D.I.Y punk ideology. At this point in my artistic path I am focusing on exposure. One of my goals is to become an artist for my community here in Santa Ana and in the States. Unfortunately as diverse as we are in Southern California Salvadoreans are a minority within a minority. Recently I have dove into decolonizing and the issues and trauma that stem from it that are passed down our generations. All thanks to my wonderful girlfriend as its her field of work. My work is fueled by my community and experiences I have gone through from serving in the U.S. Army, serving and assisting less fortunate folks both in Santa Ana and Skid row in Los Angeles, and raw emotional life struggles. I am a strong supporter of the art and it\'s community and healing within our communities. Although I am fairly new to art in such a bigger stage I am eager and ready for exposure. I aspire to inspire the all generations of all walks & creeds. I thank you for your time attention.
