Music – Winnipeg
We are Nosamada, consisting of lead singer Adam Orbanski and bassist Mason Kanne. We write funky blues songs and perform them at open mics, etc. Adam Orbanski comes from Arborg, and Mason Kanne comes from Thompson. We met in Winnipeg where people have come together for centuries. We love music and movies and feel very influenced by all types of pop culture. We especially love Lana del Rey and twenty one pilots and I like to think our sound is like dream pop mixed with blues and jazz and rap and hip hop. At least that is what we are trying to create. We listen to a lot of alternative music from the 90s because we grew up in that era as young children and teenagers. Adam being born in 1981, he was Class of 1999 so his teenage years were The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, No Doubt, Fiona Apple...all that 90s angst. Mason grew up a bit later on Disturbed and Blink 182, but says his older brothers influenced what he listened to so he loves the 90s just as much as Adam. They both love much of the same, but also different music. I feel we both bring something completely different to this band because we have very different styles. I like to think we are both misfits of different calibers that came together through the love of music and the angst against society.
