Noelia Garcia

I am an Argentinean born artist,I currently reside in New York City. I have traveled from Argentina to Canada and now have made a home in Brooklyn, NY. I am fluent in Spanish and English giving me the versatility to adjust to both cultures. I love to paint and create portraits of people, landscapes, animals and things with a focus on texture, energy and movement,anything from realism to surrealism and in between. I am a self-taught artist; I started drawing at the age of 27 as a hobby for a full year and stopped until I became a stay at home mom with my second child and on October of 2011 after 5yrs I started drawing and sketching once again, by then I had been friends with an artist for a year or so, who saw my drawings and kept pushing me to try acrylics, that’s when I fell in love with painting, I found it rewarding and exciting. Since then I have been learning different techniques on my own. I now dedicate myself full time to painting and fulfilling my heart’s desire through my art work. I don\'t shy away from any medium; my current works have been made with a wide range of mediums that include acrylic, oils on canvas, watercolor, ink, pencil on paper and colored pencils. My work has been primarily commissioned for art collectors and recently has been part of a CD cover for the band Exit Reunion.
