Visual Art – Seattle

I was born and raised in Spokane, Washington and grew up playing outside in the dry pine forests and amongst the rocks of the rushing rivers. I was know as “the artist” from an early age and studied a large variety of drawing techniques and painting mediums, clay sculpture, calligraphy, graphic design, jewelry design & metalwork. I stopped creating art for 25 years and raised a wonderful family in Seattle, Washington. More and more, I explored the reflective waters and magical woods throughout the Pacific Northwest and witnessed the peaceful synchronistic moments found within. Two years ago, I picked up a palette knife and brush and could not hold back the flood of paintings which followed. Each collection of paintings was inspired by my passionate journey of self-exploration and the rediscovery of the interconnectedness and synergy of the calming pulse of life itself. My acrylic and/or oil & wax paintings of NW reflective waters are created using a palette knife to sculpt and layer the impasto surface until it moves you to peaceful stillness.
