Visual Art – Milwaukee
Making, for me, originally came from a place of instinctual gratification. I found a place for myself in the analytic process of rendering ideas into objects. I found peace and solitude in making. Utility provided a foundational entry point into a material that I explored. My current work is mainly functional ceramics. Referential textures and imagery make for pseudo-narrative that stems from a place of nostalgia. The work remains open to take on new meaning through use. I currently work as a studio apprentice in Madison, WI at the Midwest Clay Project.
