Visual Art – New Orleans
I was born and raised in the outer roots of New Orleans. When I moved into the heart of it all six years ago, I was immediately engulfed in the city’s unparalleled culture. The way New Orleans culture moves inspired me to explore my artistic bones and rekindle my love for painting. By day I’m downtown working as a Special Event Planner, sharing NOLA with those who come to experience all the city has to offer. By night I’m painting on my balcony in the Lower Garden District, capturing the way New Orleans homes and trees sway to their own beat. I love the history and character this city has to offer, particularly when it comes to architecture and horticulture. I specialize in painting New Orleans homes and oak trees; I feel they are the staples of our city’s extraordinary look. Both speak of cultivation and have a unique way of ageing with beauty. Embracing New Orleans has taught me about growth and simplicity. And how I'm simply growing into my roots!
