Music – Vancouver

Marlie Collins: Diverse vocalist, entertainer, and professional goof troop. Born and raised in Saskatoon, spent a lot of time honing her skills singing, dancing around the house with her family. Her roots lie in musical theatre and classical music with an intense love for soul music. Starting her Bachelor of Music Degree in classical voice then graduating from the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria BC. At the age of 22 she starting to fully begin her career, joining a funk/soul band HB Wild and since then doing three tours in Malaysia, Vietnam and Dubai and learning more as a performer than she could have ever hoped for. Continuing to perform in cover bands in Vancouver, Side One & Abra Cadabra, also was the lead in Xanadu & Rock of Ages at the Arts Club theatre in Vancouver. Marlie has spent the last five years working her way as a Voice Actor and Actor for Film and TV all while working on her original music career. With the release of her Debut album this past March, Marlie has put together her heart and soul with music ranging from Gospel, 70’s soul, Funk and Jazz with a theatrical humorous flare. Marlie just loves to sing, entertain and make people laugh including herself, and for all we know she’s the only one laughing. A teacher at the Sarah McLachlan School of music, life is never boring singing with our youth, making funny voices and creating music to share.
