Maria Schultz

I am a 24 year-old Michigan native, now residing in North Carolina. I recently finished my BFA at Grand Valley State University. My work is influenced by the long-distance relationship I had with my husband while he was training with the U.S. Army. I specialize in large-scale, highly rendered charcoal drawings. I’m interested in sharing the viewpoint of a photographer through the medium of charcoal. I am ever conscious of the world around me as it relates to the viewfinder of a camera.
