Visual Art – Richmond

I specialize in abstract and figurative work, exploring themes of feminist theory and escapism. The first layer of my work is created in a very physical way; throwing paint, scraping at it with my fingers and nails, being as much a part of the process as possible. I then go back into the work and add details; faces, patterns, etc. occasionally using Photoshop to layer multiple paintings to make something new. I hope you enjoy viewing my work as much as I enjoy creating it! I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Painting & Printmaking program at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2012. Recipient of the Lillian & Nathan Reiss Scholarship and the Undergraduate Research Grant, my work has been exhibited in public and private collections along the East Coast.
