Lydia Edina began dancing at the age of three at Mayfair Academy of Fine Arts located in Chicago, IL. which is her hometown. While at Mayfair, she began training in many styles of dance including Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Modern, and African. This training landed her the opportunity to be a member of Mayfair’s Performing Company for 12 years where she participated in various performances and competitions. Now 21 years old, Lydia, who is successfully mastering her studies as a Business Tourism undergrad at Arizona State, balances her academics with her passion for dance as a Level 2 member of the ASU Hip Hop Coalition Club which she joined in 2015. Through this club Lydia has trained with several local and traveling choreographers such as Cisco, Kassidy Bright, Wildabeast, Ricky Maalouf, Tricia Miranda, and many more. To expand her training, Lydia has also participated in both Monsters and Pulse Dance Conventions. Her primary style of dance is now Hip Hop which has awarded her the opportunity to perform with Melle Morell as an opening act for Eric Bellinger. Furthermore, Lydia has worked with a few choreographers for concept video projects. Moving forward, she envisions sharing her talent further by being a part of various dance projects and hanging up her Midwest tap shoes, to move to LA after graduating college where she can continue her dance career and work in her desired field of Hospitality.
