Visual Art – Perth

Multidisciplinary artist, covering photography and painting among her most predominant areas of work, as well as sculptures, performance and very recently, installation works. Contemporary abstract expressionism highlighting the freestyle and feel for things is the best way to describe the artist, creating portraits and displaying stories. “Lupe [...] explores the many aspects of creativity and creativity itself. She began drawing and painting in Buenos Aires as a child. Lupe showed talent early on. [...] She developed a quirky , awkward style; something reminding of Expressionism and a homemade, blunt early 20th century style resulting in beatitude , underlying melancholy and most importantly the powered amplified colours of the South American soul. A method which is continually line-tuned but still maintains the primordial substratum of the vision which shines clearly through her work. Her world does not reflect the mirror, but the idea that vision moulds the world, instead of dwelling in simple observation , scavenging for meaning in an already hollow world. [...] Love is the Genius that perpetually whispers to Lupe’s senses , in the motion of her brushstroke and her way to everyday life.” Jasin Ahmeti. Writer. Copenhagen, Denmark. 2014
