Raised in Berkeley, California but ingrained with my Chinese roots, I find it very difficult to provide a simple answer for the question “Where are you from?” While outlining and interweaving a back and forth conversation between different facets of my identity, I invite my viewers to engage in a space that’s not quite Chinese or not quite American. In a way, I hope to introduce aspects of a world in between layers of culture.
