I am an IT Professional who was in desperate need of a creative outlet. I work long hours every week at a job where it can take months to see a project through to completion. I needed a way to create something of beauty in a short timeframe. In 2004 I found it in jewelry making. I started by making simple bead and stone necklaces in order to have something to do with my hands after quitting smoking. It has grown into a hobby and a bit of an obsession. I love to take sheet metal, wire, and glass or natural stone beads and create something beautiful from them. I prefer to work with cold connections (No solder, brazing) and have lately been making sculptural pieces of jewelry. Banging on a piece of copper with a hammer can be very therapeutic. Styles range from simple beaded cocktail necklaces, to mixed media art pendants, to body chains to Steampunk. Everything I make is one of a kind. I may repeat themes but no two pieces are exactly alike.
