Visual Art – Charlotte

My love for ceramics was born during high school when I began classes at a studio in my home town of Columbus, OH.  This passion carried throughout my college career in Charleston, SC as I found it a positive dichotomy for my studies in biology and health.  Upon moving to Charlotte in mid-2017 to study Physical Therapy, I began to explore ways in which pottery creations can have multiple practical uses in addition to being works of art. My succulent gardens become serving bowls; my candle holders have second lives as cups.  Like in my own life, I am not just an artist, and not just a therapist; pottery is a way for me to create household items for practical uses, but even more, it became my personal release and a way for me to keep stresses of daily life in perspective.
