Laura Evans Art & Design

Visual Art – Toronto

My method of making art reflects the way I approach and understand the world around me. I use my art to explore and gain understanding of a subject - reflect upon it, its relationship to the greater world, its relationship to me, and my relationship to the world. Working primarily in pen and ink, the intricate linework of my drawings exhibit the same patience I take observing and appreciating the natural world. I find beauty in details and their relationship to the ‘big picture.’ The intricacies of my work encourage viewers to spend time examining a piece and therefore time considering and relating to the subject matter. I am an alumnus of Trent University's Indigenous Studies program, and currently based out of Newmarket and Toronto, Ontario.
