Kozue Kasahara

Performing Art – Los Angeles

Kozue Kasahara was born in Yokohama, Japan and started training in classical ballet with the T.K. Ballet Academy at the age of four. After graduating Aoyama Gakuin University with a BA in Literature, she came to Los Angeles and started training in modern and contemporary dance with Seda Aybay, Karen McDonald, Jae Lee, and Mark Tomasic, and performing pieces choreographed by Keelan Whitmore, Angela Jordan, Andre Tyson, Sophie Monat, Caleb Mitchell, Diavolo/Architecture in Motion and more. Kozue was featured in Jae Lee’s dance film "Interrumpere," which was selected for the Glendale International Film Festival 2016. She also attended the intensive with the Alonzo King Lines Ballet and Bodytraffic. She holds an AA in Dance from Santa Monica College and she was featured in SMC dance department promotion video and also as the cover of Santa Monica College fall 2017. She has performed with the Kybele Dance Theatre and dances professionally with Lula Washington Dance Theatre, Donna Sternberg & Dancers, B.Dunn Movement/Dance Theatre Company, and Palm Dance Collective. She has currently signed with Go 2 Talent Agency. As a dance instructor, she has been teaching the dance classes at Your Neighborhood Studio in Culver City.
