Performing Art – Nashville

Author • Poet/Spoken Word Artist • Lyricist • Blogger Positivity, introspection, individuality, perspective and fluidity are just a few nouns that would best describe Komplex Simplicity. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca, Komplex learned early on that there is more than one side to every story. Shortly after earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice, Komplex left California and moved to Clarksville, TN, where she rediscovered her love of writing. In August 2016, Komplex released her first poetry book titled “It Could All Be So Simple: The Collection,” which truly amounts to a collection of poems, letters, and spoken word pieces. The title of the book is its thesis, stressing how simple things become when you let go and let God. Noticing how muted individuals had become while complying with social norms, Komplex continues to push the boundaries of conformity, often taking a non-conformist stand. This led her to begin the UNPOPULAR Movement, which reminds people that they are free to be who God created them to be, regardless of what the world says.
