Owner of KJVD Entertainment Kamal Johnson is a professional photographer & videographer/cinematographer. He was born and raised in Oakland,CA but has been living in San Diego,CA for the past twelve years after graduating from San Diego State University in 2011. As a recent graduate, Kamal explored a potential career in Construction Project Management, but soon realized he has a greater passion for design and would rather express his creativity through multiple mediums. After taking multiple college courses, collaborating with creators such as Matthew Bouvet who taught him the basic of editing and is one of the best editor in the Country, Ivan Harris & Ricky “El Direktor” Gaisie two of the best photographer in the business and learning from countless tutorials and articles, he is ready to share his knowledge with the public. He has work on various projects such as the ESPN morning show “Sports Betting Weekly” and with The Roster on the New Years Eve parties at the lavish clubs Fluxx and Hardrock in San Diego,CA filming various DJ and capturing the incredible moments of that night. On set he is easy going and comes up with creatively fantastic ideas and collaborates well with the clients. He can ensure you will have the desired aesthetic of your videos and photos through excellent pre and post production. Among many skills, Kamal is proficient in programs such as After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro & Handbrake.
