Visual Art – Adelaide
Hi I'm Kiara,
I live in a little country town called Macclesfield, in the Adelaide Hills. My passion for art started about 10 year's ago; drawing famous people for fun. This later developing into headstrong task to achieve high levels of realism.
As of late I have created a series of artworks over mdf panels (2.4x1m). The large scale representations incorporate charcoal and coloured pencils. Exploring such a scale is labouring and extensive but very rewarding personally because, of the ability it has to overwhelm the viewer. Being able to create something that affects ones emotions and perceptions is a large part of the reason I create art.
My practise is also influenced by the world of photography, in particular portrait photography and photoshop.
