Kanako Kumamaru

Before I immigrated from Japan, I studied the arts: weaving, pottery and oil painting. I find myself excited by the spectrum of colors and the way each relates to one another. The rhythms and patterns in nature are just so lyrical. Gathering raw wool, washing it by hand, spinning it into thread or yarn, knitting, crocheting, and weaving go into making each work of art.
