DJ WORK: DJ Jon Gill began spinning parties in Philadelphia back in 1999. Since then, he's worked his way into the night club scene as a highly diverse dj with the ability to read crowds and select the right music for each party. These skills landed him extensive work in private sectors and over the last decade Jon has provided music for event planners such as Paperstreet, Philadelphia Style Magazine, Premiere Sports & Entertainment, and most recently Cashman and Associates, Stephen Starr Events, Susan Magrino Agency (NYC) and Philadelphia Magazine. These affiliations have lead Jon to play exciting events for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, The Hudson Hotel (NYC), The 2008 World Champion Phillies , The Michelin Guide 2010 Launch Party (NYC), and even The Academy of Music where he spins one of the country's largest fashion shows on an annual basis for Philadelphia University. In 2005, Jon was named 'Most Diverse and Hardest Working DJ in Philadelphia’ by Philadelphia City Paper and to this day works diligently to keep that reputation by holding down four dj residencies per week along with a number of special events per month year round. musical styles: pop, rock, hip-hop, radio, disco, club, b-more, indie dance, motown, electro, house and more... contact: [email protected] facebook.com/djjongill myspace.com/djjongill for dj mixes PRODUCION WORK: Jon has dabbled in electronic music since 2003 when along with Philadelphia djs Cozmic Cat and Lorne started the 'From Philly With Love' label. After only two vinyl releases derived out of this project, the trio split up to pursue different elements of musical creation. Jon concentrated on original electronic and free remixes for takers on myspace. Out of which he landed some remixes for Portland Electro artist 'Logan Lynn' and Uk's electronic act 'The Slips'. Later due to connections at his long time residency at Shampoo's Nocturne party, Jon remixed for Belgian's Lunascape (ft Hooverphonic singer Kyoko Baertsoen) and legendary synth pop icons Information Society for their DVD release "It Is Useless to Resist Us - 25 Years of Information Society" Since then Jon's worked on a number of remixes and band productions which can be found on Amazon.com and Itunes. GRAPHIC DESIGN: Jon also does various graphic design work for bars and clubs as a side job and hobby.
