Fashion – Omaha

I was born and raised in Omaha. I started sewing in high school by customizing my jean jacket so it would have the appeal of Madonna\'s iconic jacket in Desparately Seeking Susan. I went on to study fashion and received my BFA of Fashion Design at the International Academy of Design & Technology in Chicago. All materials in my clothing and jewelry designs are repurposed, giving it new life and making every piece one of a kind. For example, one of my current material finds are leather scraps that were used for the interiors inside of private planes. I repurposed these scraps to create my handstamp lyrical leather bracelets. I have participated in local fashion shows for the past 7 years. My work has been photographed and featured in Ellements Magazine August 2013. In 2005, I was awarded the General Motors Vision Drives Design Competition winner, my design was featured in Makes & Models Car Magazine.
